It's been a year

It has been over a year since I posted on this blog. A lot has happened.

I had lap-band surgery .. I'm down 60 pounds. YIPPEE !!!

Diet since Hypnosis

I've now lost 22 pounds !!!! Whoo Hoo ... I have found that the fewer carbs I eat, the better off I am ... I can look at mashed potatoes and get lumps on my hips.

I'm doing low-fat, low-carb, higher protein.

Hocus Pocus ... Vedict ???

Well, I must say that hypnosis is the most bizarre thing I've ever done to lose weight.
I was hypnotized on July 11, 2008. Since then (4 weeks today) I have lost 13 pounds.

WOO HOO.

I find myself just not wanting sweets. I did have some ice cream tonite for supper. But ... my daily craving for chocolate ... GONE. My 3 coke a day habit ... GONE. They just don't taste the same. I'm perfectly happy without them.

I am resting better. I'm not bloated. My complexion is better.

LIFE IS GREAT !!!!!!!

I am happy not eating a lot of carbs. I'm trying to keep it LOWFAT and LOW CALORIE even though I am eating more protein and less carbs.

My new favorite beverage is UNSWEET TEA. Yes ... I did say UNSWEET tea.
Still haven't gotten into the green tea.

Yes ... I will keep it going.

Hocus Pocus .. Kammy's Trying Hypnosis

Ok .. so I have finally lost my mind. I went to a local hypnotherapy clinic on July 11.
After 36 minutes .. I was "reprogrammed" to eat healty foods ... avoids ALL carbs... and drink lots of water.

Ok ... the hypnotherapist and I discussed diet. ... . we concluded that Fast and Convenient are not working and I have to... oh no .... don't say it .... COOK.
She suggest an eating plan to get things jump started ... NO CARBS FOR 9 DAYS !!!!!
I have to plan each meal 30 minutes before I eat it. Sit at the table (no eating in front of TV) and I have to drink 150 oz water per day. 150 oz sounds like a lot ... especially if you don't like water. Unsweet tea (can sweeten with splenda), carbonated flavored water beverages, crystal light and plain ole water count.

DAY 1: get up ... drink 5 oz glass orange flavored carbonated water beverage
drink 2nd glass of water ... =10 oz down
eat breakfast ... TRIED turkey sausage ... YUCK !!!! It's the texture .. can't handle
rubber texture ...needless to say it went in trash.
I did eat a boiled egg and 2 thin slices of cheddar cheese.
Drank a 6 oz cup of warm Vanilla Tea ... pretty good ... I could get used to that.

WENT TO PEE !!!! about a 100 times.
Drank a 20 ounce water .... now up to 36 ounces ... 1 quart down !!!!!

Lunch .... had iceberg lettuce with tomato. About a quarter cup cottage cheese
hard boiled egg chopped up, and a couple slices bacon crumbled.
NO Dressing.
Drank a 16 ounce splenda sweetened tea .... that makes it 52 ounces (1/3rd)

Snack ... a couple more slices bacon and string cheese ... washed down by ... you
guessed
it ... another glass of water !!!! ... that makes 60 ounces.

For Supper ... I cooked a porkloin in the slow cooker. It was seasoned with pineapple
juice and bananas and soy sauce. Of course ... couldn't eat the pineapple or
bananas ... first of all ... not good cooked ... second .. not on diet.
I stir fried (in about 1/2 tsp butter) yellow squash, zucchini, and onions.
I managed to down about 25 ounces of Green Tea with Citrus flavor ... ok that
makes 85 ounces of water.

Now .. it's midnight ... and my stomach is growling ... guess I really am hungry ... not used to that feeling.

I have had NO carbs ... NO Dr Pepper ... No coke ... no sodas of anykind....now junk food ... nothing I usually eat...and this is seeming pretty easy.

We shall see what happens.
GOAL: down 15 pounds in the next month .... we shall see !!!!!

THE BLOB !!!!

Waiting ... lurking in the shadows ... that thing ... it's calling your name .... "I'll get you my pretty ... and your little doggy too" .... it haunts you ... if follows you ... it knows your weaknesses .... and then suddenly .... out of no where .... there it is .... it is right in front of you .... you can't resist it .... you can't fight it ... before you know it ... it's gone ..... DARN ICE CREAM !!!!

Ok ... so I'm a little goofy tonite ... I'm in a good mood ... FAT and SASSY !!!

HOWEVER ... anybody got any ideas on how to keep Ben and Jerry out of the Freezer????

New HairCut

Well... I finally said to heck with growing out the hair. It was driving me nuts !!!!
I got it all hacked off....YIPPEE !!! Anyway, I still have a little length. Geez ... I need some sun ... look how pale I am.

Well...the diet ... STINKS !!! I have managed to MAINTAIN my weight since January. I haven't gained ... BUT I HAVEN'T LOST EITHER.

I thought about having a Lap-Band procedure ... then I looked into the cost. $16,000 ... up front. Who can do that in the middle of an adoption. I'd love to do it, but I'm just going to have to work it out on my own.... NO FUNDS !!!!

I'm still working with my trainer. I really think the exercise is keeping me from gaining weight. I am able to walk 30 minutes, at a faster speed, and on an incline. I couldn't do that 4 months ago.

Unfortunately, in Feb/Mar, I was sick twice with Bronchitis/Flu like stuff...that really took a lot out of me. It is really difficult to get back into the diet/exercise routine. I'M NOT GIVING UP!!!
