Well .. Since I'm still awake .. and it is 2008 ... I decided I'd come up with some resolutions.
1. Be more Christ-like in my actions (translation ... develop a higher tolerance for stupid people... be nicer to those who irritate the wazoo out of me)
2. Actually go to church more (maybe that would help with number 1)
I have developed the BAD habit of sleeping in on Sunday mornings.
3. EXERCISE AT LEAST 3 times a week. Yes ... that means breaking out the checkbook and hiring a PTP ... a personal torture person ... maybe I'll find somebody who'll be in my face like Jillian on Biggest loser (yep ... if I could exercise 4 hrs a day and had a personal chef, I could drop 100 lbs quick too ... REALITY CHECK ... life ain't like TV .. HELLO .. some of us have to cook our own food ... which means TAKE OUT ... and we work)
4. Stick to my Shakes and my diet.
In all reality ... all of these resolutions are completely do-able. Diet wise .. I'm doing ok.
I weighed today and I'm down 2 lbs ... but my scales lie. I really weigh 135 pounds ... I don't know why my scales detect all of the padding I wear around this size 5 body to keep it from getting broken .. GEEZ ... my scales say I'm FAT ... NO WAY !!!!!! (Ha Ha)

New Year's Eve ... OOPS
Well...today was New Year's Eve.
I guess since it's after midnight .. technically yesterday was New Year's Eve.
Food wise .. I did ... welll....who knows how I did.
Here's what I consumed
NO SHAKES !!!!!!
1 Lean cuise lasagna ... 320 calories
1 small pork steak
5-6 --- 1/2 inch slices of grilled sausage of somekind .. it was GREAT
1 hamburger ... grilled .. with bun and cheese
chips and salsa .. no more than 12 chips ... and salsa is basically a free food
1 had 2 bites of artichoke dip
1 had 2 crackers with cheese ball
1 SLIVER of pecan pie .... and I mean a small amount !!!!!!
1 had 1 SMALL brownie .. about 1.5 inch by 1.5 inch .. if that big.
I'm guessing I consumed between 1800 and 2000 calories today.
Not the greatest day ... but considering I've probably been consuming about
1000 calories PER MEAL .... not to bad either
I'm too tired to look up the calorie count.
I'm supposed to go to a New Year's Day party tomorrow....pray I don't stand
and graze like a cow.

Day 3 ... WORK WORK WORK
Why do we burden ourselves with decorating for the holidays?
Sure it looks pretty, but it is a pain in the butt to take down ... re-package ... and Haul out.
That's what I've spent my day doing. Packing up Christmas stuff. I don't think I'll ever finish.
I've gotten all of my stuff put up except .. the Kitchen, the bathrooms, and the tree. Since
I'm dumb enoug to decorate every room ... I'm punished with it taking as long to take down as
put up.
Food wise today ... has been ok.
I did back slide a little ... I had a piece of Sara Lee Cheesecake.
Why do you ask??? BECAUSE IT SOUNDED GOOD. IT WAS IN MY FREEZER CALLING MY NAME !!!!!!!!!!!
1/6 cheesecake =490 calories ... was it worth it .. hmmm.... YES !!!!
Breakfast ... 2 HMR Vanilla Shakes with strawberry flavoring ... 340 cal
Snack ... Honey Nut instant Oatmeal ................................................ 170 Cal
ok ... the total for the day so far 1000 calories.
Not too bad, well except the cheesecake.
For dinner ... I'm going to Jane's house. We are having grilled chicken breast, steamed broccoli, and baked potato. Very reasonable ... healthy dinner.
Let's see, thanks to www.calorie-count.com I can determine the calories of most
anything .. or at least get pretty close.

Steamed Broccoli 38 calories
Baked potatoe plain about 240 calories for 8oz size
Spray butter ... ZERO FAT ZERO CALORIES

WHOO HOO ... kept it below 1500 today....but boy, was I cranky. I only had 1 cup of coffee and 1 diet coke. NO REAL COKES TODAY. I felt really cranky ... maybe it was dealing with the stupid people at work...YA THINK????
Well...day one of detox wasn't so bad. I've got to go mix up my shakes for tomorrow so that I won't have an excuse for not sticking to it tomorrow. Come January, I am going to start working out again with a trainer. Of course, it's $240 bucks for 12 ... 30 minute sessions. I've got to get my rear in gear, a trainer is the only way to do it. Maybe we'll do measurements for me to post.
Will post again tomorrow.

We have both gained a little back since stopping the Baptist Program. She's gained 7 lbs, I've gained about 10.

I'm not waiting until January 1 to make a NEW YEARS RESOLUTION.
I AM STARTING NOW !!
Geez ... since Thanksgiving, I feel like I have gained 500 pounds.
Go ahead ... stick a pin in me ... I'll pop ... and I must say that I think I'd feel better.
With all of the good treats around ... I said to heck with the diet ... enjoy the food.
BIG MISTAKE!!!!! I feel gross.
I feel like my feet are constantly swollen from all of the soft drinks.
I have little sausages for toes and hot dogs for fingers.
I MUST SHRINK MY BUTT !!!!
I MUST FIT MY BUTT IN PLANE SEAT !!!!
I MUST CONQUER FEAR OF STAIR MACHINE AT GYM !!!
SO ... What am I gonna do about it????
First of all, I'm going to start a weigh loss blog for myself.
If I make it public, I'll stick to it better because
I NEED ACCOUNTABILITY.
Tonite, before bed... I mixed up 6 of my HMR shakes.
I can't use, "I don't have time to stop and mix them"
as an excuse if they are prepared and in the refrigerator.
Since I can't stand the HMR food ... I'm going to do a minimum of 5 shakes a day.
I have an assortment ... 100 calorie shakes, 120 calorie shakes, and 180 calorie shakes
... so I will be consuming between 500 and 900 calories as a base calorie intake per day.
HMR preaches "MORE IS BETTER" ...
well .. not when it is Cheese Balls, cookies, fudge, peanut brittle, dressing, ham, candied sweet potatoes, bread, potatoes, etc.
So, in addition to my 5 shakes per day, I will have 1 reasonable meal.
My freezer is stocked with Lean Cuisine and Weight Watchers dinners.
I have steamable frozen veggies.
I have soup.
I have ...pineapples ... oops those are a little fuzzy ... been in the fridge too long.
My point is ... I am going to get back on a healthy eating program.
As loyal supporters of me in my weight struggle,
it is your responsibility to encourage me to eat right and exercise regularly.
As soon as I get the blog set up ... I'll post the site.
As for now ... it is bedtime.
