UPDATE
These are timer photos. They didn't turn out half bad.
I tried some full body shots.
HA ... They weren't bad .. just not good either.
OK ... for the diet ... well ... I am disgusted to say that I have
not lost a freakin pound.
My trainer asked if I was noticing any differences ... since we've been
working together 3&1/2 weeks.
My response ... YES ... I'M EXHAUSTED and I'M HUNGRY !!!!!!!!
Do the clothes fit different ??? Maybe a little.
Are people commenting on a difference ... YES DAILY.
SO ... I'm either gifted with natural beauty, doing my makeup better, or something is changing.
I'M NOT QUITTING !!!!!!!! I started weight watchers online .. and I'm still doing my shakes.
Matter of fact, I have Kelley working out with me know. We are in the gym 5 of 7 days. Pretty good.

Back in the Gym
Guess what ... I'm back in the gym ... it sucks.
Good news .. I gained 1/2 pound while I was sick ... that's it.
Considering Ice Cream was my meal of choice and there was no exercise.
Bad News .. missing 1 week at the gym ... is very difficult to go back.
I started back Saturday after working 8 hrs. I made it 5 minutes on the
exercise bike, and that's it. I walked at 2.2 miles/hr on the treadmill.
I only made it 20 minutes. I still have a bit of bronchitis. My chest was
really hurting ... but I walked anyway.
Kelley .. my sister ... well I finally got her to join the gym with me.
The 2 of us did the treadmill last night ... and then the circut training
Today .. we walked 20 minutes ... at 2.5 mph ... so I'm up a little ... but I felt
like sha dookey doo. 20 minutes ... I went home. . . 20 it better than zero.
Tomorrow night ... I'm back with the trainer.

No new news
Ok ... so ... I have bronchitis (self diagonsis).
I started on antibiotics today... I feel like crap.
I look like crap.
I sound like crap.
So .. who cares about a diet right now. Ice cream is
the only thing that sounds or tastes good.
Exercise ... NO WAY ... can't breath...can't exercise.

Well, I feel like crap....but I did ok with the diet today.
Breakfast ... HMR 800 Vanilla Shake .... 170 cal
Lunch ......... 1 can progresso chicken noodle soup ... 240 cal
snack .......... 1 oz cashews .............................................150 cal
Supper ....... Tuna Salad Sandwich
Tuna ... 80 cal
2 tbsp miracle whip .... 80 cal
2 slices bread ................240 cal
Snack ........... Fresh Fruit ... apples, grapes, stawberries, pineapple
1 cup of each adds up to 4 cups ... 236 calories ... 1 had
probably 1 cup total ..... that would be 49 calories
dessert ... WW Banana pudding (oops ... didn't have ff cream cheese or ff eagle brand)
made with Skim Milk ... FF/SF banana pudding ... ff/sf cool whip
WW caloris +237 cal ... add about 150 calories to acct for cream cheese and eaglebrand not being non-fat ..................................total = 387 calories
total for day : 1396
I made better choices today. I'll take the banana pudding to work and feed it to the gang there.
I made it to the gym today too. Got there too early ... I thought my appoint for my trainer was at 6:05 ... so ... I got there about 5:30. I changed into my workout clothes. All of the treadmills were full. Recumbent bikes kill my hips and knees and so to elipticals. There was the choice of the dreaded stair stepper or the spin bike. I chose the bike. I actually did ok on it tonite.
I made it 10 minutes on the bike ... no resistance of course ... that's better than usual ... I don't usually even try it. I jumped off the bike and grabbed the first treadmill that opened up and walked 25 minutes.
Needless to say, when I got off the treadmill ... the muscles in my legs were tired.
I worked out with Mike....he's gonna kill me. We worked arms tonite. When I say we worked arms .. I mean it ... we did 3 different exercises for triceps and biceps. I may not be able to get lids off bottles tomorrow at work.
I've been to the gym 4 out of 6 days. That's pretty good for me.
Mike says my goal is to work up to 45 minutes of cardio EVERYDAY and then weight training too. Does he think I'm a fitness geek ???
Oh well .. He is going to push me, and that is what I need.
Now, if I can just get control of the eating 6 meals a day. That's tough when you work at a drug store where you don't get an official lunch hour ... it is more like a bite ... every 2-3 hours. And Hot Food ... what's that????

I HATE HAVING A COLD !!!
Low and behold .. I woke up this morning with sinus drainage down my throat and a
throat that felt like raw meat. My head is now stopped up. Drill a hole between my eyes and I'd feel a heck of a lot better.
Ok .. that being said ... I ate today.
breakfast ... HMR Oatmeal ...210 calories (not worth it !!!!)
Snack ......... 1 slice bread ......120 calories
lunch ...... Wendy's Big Bacon Classic ... somewhere between 430 and 640 calories
Supper ... WW Beef Stew (which I fell asleep and BURNED!!!) ... 470 cal
snack .... PB & J Sandwich .... 2 slices bread .... 240 cal
PB 390 cal
Strawberry Jelley 50 cal
well ... total for today .... about 2110
So ... this wasn't a so good day diet wise ... but I did go to the gym.

Jan 5 --- and the tree came down
Whew .. finally ... the Christmas Decorations have all been put away. I have 1 picture that I need to put up over the fireplace. I even got the floor vaccumed. IT NEEDED IT.
I took pictures of the living room during the various stages of destruction and reconstruction.
Needless to say, I did not make it to the gym today. HOWEVER, I did make 8 trips to the storage building ... with 4 totes each time. Arranged them neatly in the building.
Finished taking oranments off the tree, climbed up and down the step ladder about 8 times. Then I wrestled a christmas tree the size of a small elephant into bundles that would fit back into the box.
Food wise ... I haven't had much today.
Breakfast ... 2 HMR 800 Vanilla Shakes with FF/SF/Calorie free chocolate syrup ... 340 cal
Lunch ......... Lean Cuisine Baked Chicken with dressing and mashed potatoes .......... 240 cal

I did get down 40 ounces of water today. That is good .. I am not a water drinker ... so any is an improvement.
Well...I'm getting very sleepy .. I must find a little snack of somekind .... maybe a FF/SF jello.

Today was a good day diet wise ... all around it was a good day.
I had to go to Fort Smith today to update my i-600a (thank God I get 1 free update).
This is the immigration paperwork that pre-approves me to adopt Mari-Grace from an immigration standpoint.
It is pretty cool ... once we go thru our Consulate appointment in Guangzhou, China, and get her travel visa, we will get a SEALED package of paperwork. When we land in the USA, and go to the Citzenship and Immigration office at the airport, the immigration officer will open this packet. If the seal is broken before this moment, all of the paperwork is invalidated.
Anyway, once the immigration officer approves this packet, Mari-Grace will be a US citizen.
So.. today's trip was pretty important !!! My i-171h expires Jan 20, 2008.
ANYWAY ... diet wise, I did ok
Breakfast ... 1 venti fat free, sugar free carmal macchiato from Starbucks (240 calories)
1 low fat blueberry muffin (starbucks) (290 calories)
whoa ... not as good calorie wise as it sounded
Lunch ... Market Place Express Grilled Chicken Berry Salad with Blueberry Poppy seed dressing
I can't find a calorie count for this
Dinner ... Maui Shrimp and Salmon with grilled pineapple and baked potato with butter only
2 cheddar bay biscuits (Red Lobster) and garden salad with ranch dressing on the
side.
ok ... the order came with 6 grilled shrimp and about 6 oz of salmon.
according to the Red Lobster Nutriton site, this meal came in at a whopping 951 calories.
i ate only 3 shrimp, 1/2 the salmon, and 1/2 the SMALL baked potatoe ... figuring that in ...
that drops the calorie count down to 52 calories for salad, 320 calories for biscuits, 129 calories for salmon, 100 calories for potato, 71 calories for the shrimp
...total for meal actually 625 calories
I am going to guess total calories for day to be about 1650.
Oh yes .. forgot to mention ... after dinner, I had to pee ... so I went to bathroom at Red Lobster.
The stall I went in had a poopy baby diaper crammed into the feminine hygeine disposal ... know what happens then ... IT ALL HANGS OUT !!!! AND STINKS !!!! AND MAKES KAMMY PUKE !!!!
So .. since I lost most of my dinner in the bathroom episode ... I probably only consumed about 1100 calories today.
NO WONDER I'm HUNGRY TONITE.
Tomorrow will be a better day.

Thursday ... 1 week down
Well...1 week down on the diet ... hmmm 5 out of 7 days in the box not too bad.
Today ... I was "IN THE BOX"
Here is what I had to eat.
Breakfast ... a Chocolate HMR shake and coffe
... 100 calories
Lunch ... Lean Cuisine Beef and Broccoli (which was VERY good)
... 170 calories
Snack ... 1 oz honey roasted cashews, 1 HMR Vanilla Shake
... 320 calories
6pm snack ... 1 orange and 1 Chocolate HMR Shake
... 181
Supper ... 1 baked potato with 2 tbs butter, 2 tbs bacon bits, 1/4 shredded cheddar
... 500 calories
Total for day : 1271
Now in additon to staying on the diet ... I worked out with Mike for the first time.
We did the circut training room ... I kind of like that. I worked out arms, back, chest, and legs. That actually took about 45 minutes instead of 30 .. just because he did full machine demos.
After the circut training, I walked about 15 minutes.
By then, it was 8:30 and I was ready to eat an entire cow.
So ... I did well today .. and at midnight .. I still have energy.

01/02/08 ... treadmill and mcdonalds ... strange bedfellows
Well .. I did well on the diet at work on Wednesday .. .. mainly becuase there
was NO time to eat ... WHEW .. we filled 400 prescriptions.
I went to the gym. We have a great gym called 10 Fitness. It is open 24 hours a day
(which is good because I prefer to exercise in the evening hours). It only cost $48 to join and $10 per month. I've been a member since September 07 ... I had only been 3 times...OOPS.
Anyway .. I signed up with their personal trainer .. Michael. He's certified out the wazzoo and works also as a trainer with one of our local high school football teams. He knows his stuff.
Anyway ... I'm committed to 12 ... 30 minute workout sessions. So I'll go twice a week for 6 weeks.
Anyway, after signing up ... I walked on the treadmill. I cranked up the tunes on the i-Pod and walked 20 minutes, at 2.7 mph to a "Fat burning" routine ... it was pretty cool .. every 30 to 40 seconds, the treadmill adjusted elevations to simulate an outdoor walk. It was pretty easy .. I admit .. I should've done 30 minutes ... but since I'm just getting back into the routine, I don't want to over-do it.
I was starving by the time I left the gym. It was 8 pm and I hadn't had dinner, snack, or anything but WATER. The BAD thing about the gym is that it is in the same shopping center with Dominoes Pizza, McDonalds, Rocky's Pub, Casa Mexicana, and a chinese food restaurant.
So .. those golden arches called my name ... and I answered the call by purchasing a Qarter pounder with cheese, french fries, and dr pepper.
Now ask me .... What was the purpose of going to the gym ????
Go figure ... oh well , Thursday is another day !!!!!!!!!!

SKIPPING DIET
Well, I pretty much blew the diet on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
6 small meals a day ... HA ... more like 1 continuous meal all day long.
The food was great ... the friends were great ... do I regret taking a break from the diet
routine for 2 days ... NO WAY !!!!!
It's back on the wagon on the 2nd !!!!!!
