Well .. I did well on the diet at work on Wednesday .. .. mainly becuase there
was NO time to eat ... WHEW .. we filled 400 prescriptions.
I went to the gym. We have a great gym called 10 Fitness. It is open 24 hours a day
(which is good because I prefer to exercise in the evening hours). It only cost $48 to join and $10 per month. I've been a member since September 07 ... I had only been 3 times...OOPS.
Anyway .. I signed up with their personal trainer .. Michael. He's certified out the wazzoo and works also as a trainer with one of our local high school football teams. He knows his stuff.
Anyway ... I'm committed to 12 ... 30 minute workout sessions. So I'll go twice a week for 6 weeks.
Anyway, after signing up ... I walked on the treadmill. I cranked up the tunes on the i-Pod and walked 20 minutes, at 2.7 mph to a "Fat burning" routine ... it was pretty cool .. every 30 to 40 seconds, the treadmill adjusted elevations to simulate an outdoor walk. It was pretty easy .. I admit .. I should've done 30 minutes ... but since I'm just getting back into the routine, I don't want to over-do it.
I was starving by the time I left the gym. It was 8 pm and I hadn't had dinner, snack, or anything but WATER. The BAD thing about the gym is that it is in the same shopping center with Dominoes Pizza, McDonalds, Rocky's Pub, Casa Mexicana, and a chinese food restaurant.
So .. those golden arches called my name ... and I answered the call by purchasing a Qarter pounder with cheese, french fries, and dr pepper.
Now ask me .... What was the purpose of going to the gym ????
Go figure ... oh well , Thursday is another day !!!!!!!!!!
